and deliberated the first-ever special report on state-owned natural resource
asset management; and we encouraged the State Council to establish a rough
inventory of 11 major categories of such assets that belong to the whole
people. We now exercise oversight over the management of all four classes of
state-owned assets: assets held by non-financial enterprises, assets held by
financial enterprises, assets held by government offices and public institutions,
and natural resource assets. Our oversight has had the effect of preventing

budgets and to strengthen oversight over economic work in an effort to

Wastes, the Notarization Law, and the Fire Prevention and Control Law. A
total of 23 inspection teams led by members of the Council of Chairpersons
were sent to provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly
under the central government across the country, with attendance of
members of the Standing Committee and various special committees reaching
133 and attendance of NPC deputies reaching 66. These inspections resulted
in six reports, which have been heard and deliberated by the Standing
Committee.
When inspecting the implementation of the Law on the Prevention and
Control of Environmental Pollution by Solid Wastes, we organized the
first-ever research project for NPC deputies, with participation by 240
deputies from 13 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly
